A delicious Czech garlic soup, introduced to St. Lydia’s by Aaron and Shamika!

6 cloves garlic
2 Tbsp butter (optional)
1/2 onion (any kind)
6 cups broth (any kind)
2 potatoes
2 eggs (optional)
paprika and fresh marjoram
parmesan or some other sharp cheese for garnish (optional)
Rye croutons

Sautee minced garlic and chopped onions in butter. Put into pot with broth, cubed potatoes, paprika, and majoram until potatoes are cooked through and flavors begin to mingle.  If using eggs whip the and pour into pot while stirring.  Serve with croutons and cheese. Serves 4.
